Web Content Creation

Having a fantastic web design is one thing but it is no use if it is just sat there dormant without being freshened up. One of the great ways of doing this is through content creation and updating your latest news as well as various landing pages too.

We always ask at Brick technology for a contact person who is going to be the person from a company responsible for creating content and writing this on a frequent basis. In the majority of cases the customer is caught off guard because this is something which they haven’t thought about. Brick technology has our web editor on hand as part of our internet marketing services that generates content for a number of our clients.

There are two main reasons why customers choose to have a web editor on board to help keep their site looking fresh:

1.     Companies do not have the time

2.     Companies over complicate writing articles and landing pages

It is important that the content draws in traffic and thus experience in writing for marketing purposes is essential. By having an experienced copywriter or editor write your articles and landing pages is because when done correctly web content can be extremely engaging and thus can lower the bounce rate of your site, give out valuable information and increase conversions.

The truth is unfortunately customers of ours do not have the time to sit down and write content and for the most part the customer will panic because they over-think and over-complicate the whole idea of content creation. In reality if you cannot spend the time creating content then you need to employ someone to do this for you.

Google Panda is the new algorithm and is sometimes known as Google Fresh. It aims to present the most up to date information to a searcher and thus if you haven’t updated your site in a while Google will rank you lower in positioning than say another site who updates their news every day.

Updating your latest news is probably one of the easiest ways of keeping your site however, in addition to this creating new pages and adding more information to landing pages counts as updating your site too. When Google and other sites send out their robots they can see when the pages and website was last updated. If the site hasn’t been updated for a month they will energy save and maybe not come back every day but maybe once a week. If the site still isnt updated then it could come back once a month. If you have updates every day, twice a day then Google robots will come every day and index your site helping with positioning.

If you struggle with content then come to the professionals at Brick technology!
